Our Story

IT STARTED WITH A DREAM.

 

Alyssa woke up one morning with a vision she couldn't shake — gift boxes for her niece, a college freshman, arriving at the moments that matter most. Not one box. A whole year of them. Timed for the first week of arrival, the stretch before Thanksgiving, the return in January, the long middle of March. Each one carrying something true into the specific season her niece was living.

The heart behind it was simple: make sure the Word of God — practical, inspired, and alive — stayed part of her college experience, not just framed on a wall or saved for Sunday. Present in the ordinary moments when faith either takes root or quietly drifts.

Then came a second dream. Same idea. Bigger footprint. Boxes going around the world.

She told Kathi. Kathi said, I think we're supposed to build this together. Turns out, fifty years of being in those rooms was exactly the right foundation.

And then they got to work.

WE'VE BEEN IN THESE CONVERSATIONS.

 

The one after the first failed exam. The one when someone chose wrong and knew it. The one where insecurities seemed to be the loudest voice in the room. The one where everything was going sideways. The one where nobody said the right thing because nobody knew what the right thing was, or how to say it without making things worse.

Between us, we've been having these conversations for fifty years. In classrooms. On bleachers. Across coffee tables. Conversations filled with grace and grit — even with each other. We've coached students, mentored professionals, and walked alongside families through seasons of growth, doubt, transition, and becoming.

We know what it means to want to speak into someone's life and not always find the words.

So we built something to help close that gap.

WE STARTED WITH A SIMPLE BELIEF.

 

Encouragement should be intentional, grounded, and brave enough to say what matters.

Not the kind that shows up when it's convenient — the kind that shows up when it's needed, whether or not it was asked for.

Our experience has taught us that this is easier said than done. Real change — the kind that comes from intentional discipleship — rarely grows through one grand moment. It grows through consistency. Through small nudges. Through the steady, unasked-for reminder: you are known, you are not alone, and what God says is true about you is still true, no matter what.

That conviction is what shapes every letter we write and every gift we choose.

 

WE BELIEVE GOD'S WORD IS FOR EVERYDAY MOMENTS.

 

Not decoration framed on a wall but essential to everyday life. From beautiful new beginnings to hard and unexpected endings and everything in between. The Word has something to say about identity, purpose, relationships, quiet doubts, and frustrations that don't have a clean resolution. Faith connected to real life — exactly where it belongs.

That's what we put in the box.

 

BUT HERE'S THE THING ABOUT THIS BOX — IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT YOU.

 

You are the hero of this story. Not us.

You are the one who looked at someone you love — in a hard season or a good one, at a beginning or somewhere in the long middle — and decided to show up. You didn't wait for a crisis to care. You didn't wait for the perfect moment to say something true. You just decided that the people you love deserve to know it — consistently, intentionally, and out loud.

We write the letter. We choose the gifts. We seal the box. But it is your love that puts it in the mail. That is not a small thing. That is the whole thing.

THIS IS WHAT WE BUILT.
