It started with a dream.

Literally.

It was the summer before my oldest niece left for her freshman year of college when I woke up with an idea:

Send her letters that would sharpen her faith and her focus.

And with each one, send a few really good gifts — things that would make the message memorable long after she'd read the words.

Then I had another dream.

More boxes. A bigger footprint.

I told my friend Kathi and she said, “I think we're supposed to build this together.”

So we did.

We've been in these conversations a long time.

Between the two of us, we've spent more than fifty years coaching, mentoring and walking alongside people through breakthrough and doubt, growth and transition, faith and becoming.

We've had conversations full of grace.

We've had conversations that required grit.

We've even had a few of those with each other.

We know what it means to want to speak into someone's life and get it right.

We also know what it means to miss the moment entirely.

So we built something to help close that gap.

 

College is full of voices.

Some are worth listening to.

Some aren't.

And between the professors, roommates, friends, screens, expectations and questions, we want God's Word to remain the most trusted voice they know.

The questions may change, but the source of wisdom doesn't.

God's word is relevant in real time.

Right in the middle of identity and purpose. Relationships and decisions. Confidence and uncertainty. The next step and the question that doesn't have a tidy answer.

We believe God's word has something to say in every situation.

And we believe a life built on The Word can stand when everything else feels unsteady.

That's the conviction behind every letter we write — and the reason we're so thoughtful about what we put beside it.

There's a part only you can do.

We can pack the box.

We can't send your love.

You won't always be in the room.

You won't always be on the phone.

And you won't always have the perfectly timed words.

But you can still show up.

Steady. Intentional. From wherever you are.
